The event that started it all: 10km, 500m+ vertical, seeded handicaps, no GPS, and the thrill and terror of hunting and being hunted.
Handicapped Starts
Every runner gets a shot at glory. This is not your standard race: slower runners start first, faster runners chase.
Each runner gets a predicted finish time based on past results or submitted pace. If everyone runs to their ability, the field should come together at the finish line.
Race Participants
Each year, the top eight finishers earn an automatic invite to return. Every one of those eight also gets a plus one.
A full field is 16 runners: eight returning, eight invited. The only way in is to finish top eight, or be chosen by someone who did.
The winner takes all: Strava crowns, an incredible trophy, and enough cash to shout all participants a coffee afterwards.
